If you happen to visit any of the Robinsons Malls nationwide, you must have seen cute and attractive coin banks in each of their cashier check out counters. This is for their yearly fund-raising program - The Gift of Change.
Robinsons Malls’ The Gift of Change is their annual coin bank campaign which was launched in 1997 in order to help our underprivileged countrymen.
For the past 14 years, The Gift of Change through its Robinsons Malls within Metro Manila and Rizal, has been appointed by EDSA Shrine, Caritas Manila, Makabata Foundation and Jaime Cardinal Sin Village in Punta, Sta. Ana, Manila to assist in their various projects.
Spurned by the acceptance of the campaign in the past decade, The Gift of Change continues to expand and extend help to more underprivileged Filipinos.
This year, The Gift of Change was rolled out in 19 Robinsons Malls in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao which will benefit 12 archdiocese or diocese. At present, the campaign has 19 beneficiaries nationwide.
Robinsons Place GenSan’s beneficiary is the Sta. Cruz mission, a mission station of the Diocese of Marbel which centers its objective on evangelizing and bringing about socio-economic developments for the indigenous people in South Cotabato and Saranggani.
So if you have loose coins or change while paying for your groceries or other items inside any of Robinsons’ check out counters, why not donate them instead by dropping them inside one of The Gift of Change‘s coin banks.
Barya-barya lang yan but for sure, they will go a long way in helping others.
